OUR HISTORY

RBJ COMMODITIES TRADING EXPONENT or RBJ COMTREX (its acronym), is engaged primarily in the marketing and distribution of quality clinical and laboratory diagnostic instruments and supplies in the whole island of Mindanao.

Established in 1994, it started off by trading medical devices for clinic/office use of pediatricians and obstetrician-gynecologists. In 1996, BOEHRINGER MANHEIM PHILIPPINES (now owned by ROCHE Diagnostics) commissioned our company to be its reseller of all its diagnostic lines to all parts of Northern Mindanao. After two (2) years, we acquired exclusive product distributorship of two (2) more principals namely PEDIATRIC ASSOCIATES and MARSMAN-DRYSDALE MEDICAL PRODUCTS ( the bearer of the Beckman- Coulter) for Mindanao and North and Western Mindanao, respectively. Shortly thereafter, we signed up provincial distributorship agreements with three (3) more principals: ABBOTT DIAGNOSTICS DIVISION, MERCK CHEMICAL PRODUCTS and GOLDQUEST DIAGNOSTICS. In 2004, we were given exclusive distributorship of ABBOTT I-STAT POINTOFCARE for the whole of Mindanao. The year after, TNC EVERLIGHT PHILIPPINES, the national importer of BIOMERIEUX France, appointed us as its exclusive distributor in Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental, Bukidnon, CARAGA Region (Agusan and Surigao), Zamboanga Provinces (City, Sur, Norte, Sibugay) and Basilan.

In October 2015, Assurance Controls and Technologies, Inc., the national importer of KONICA MINOLTA Medical Imaging Systems, Japan invited us to join its fold as its exclusive distributor in Mindanao. Sooner than expected, RBJ Comtrex, in cooperation with TRANSMEDIC, has been representing world-renowed brands such as Stryker for OR Solutions and Cancer Therapy. The company has also expanded its menu of products and services in medical imaging systems by representing more reputable brands such as Siemens and Fujifilm.
